HELP FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Here is a suggestion we hope will help get you through Covid-19 pandemic.
We looked in our food cupboard and found 1 box of yellow cake mix, 1 can of apple slices, and 1 small can of pineapple.
We opened the box of cake mix and divided it into halves.
BREAKFAST APPLE MUFFINS
Open the can of apples and cook them for about 5 minutes to insure that they are good and soft. We prepared a muffin pan by placing 2 cupcake liners in all 12 places, than divided the apples evenly in the muffin pan. Melting a quarter stick of butter and adding 1 half of the cake mix, mixed well and created a crumb topping. Add the crumb topping to each individual muffin area filled with apples and bake on 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until crumb topping is golden.
PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE
In an aluminum cake or pie pan which you have saved and with the other half of the cake mix you can make a small pineapple upside down cake.
We melted the remainder of the butter and poured it in the bottom of the pie pan with approximately 2 tablespoons of brown sugar we had in our pantry. Place the pineapple from 1 small can on the bottom. Mix the remainder of the cake mix by cutting everything directed on the box in aside from the eggs due to the box calling for 3 you will use 2 eggs. Pour evenly over the butter, brown sugar mix and pineapples, place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.
*I had NO IDEA how hard it would be to write such a simple recipe.
